Role Overview
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Medication Nurse provides licensed nursing support in a senior living environment, ensuring resident safety and well-being through accurate medication administration, health monitoring, and thorough clinical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and the Six Rights of Medication Administration
- Document medication administration and health updates accurately and promptly
- Monitor residents for symptoms, adverse reactions, and health changes, reporting promptly
- Support care plan updates by transcribing physician orders and conducting health assessments
- Maintain medication carts, perform narcotic counts, and ensure regulatory compliance
- Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes in residents
Qualifications & Skills:
- Active LPN license in good standing
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong assessment and documentation skills
- Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred
