Role Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Medication Nurse provides licensed nursing support in senior living settings through safe medication administration, health monitoring, and accurate clinical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and the Six Rights of Medication Administration
• Accurately document in MAR/TAR in real time
• Monitor resident symptoms, report adverse reactions or refusals promptly
• Conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs) and transcribe physician orders
• Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes in residents
• Maintain medication carts, perform narcotic counts, and ensure compliance with safety standards

Qualifications & Skills:

• Active LPN license in good standing
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong assessment, documentation, and clinical skills
• Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred

The role is vital in safeguarding resident health, preventing medication errors, and early detection of health changes, supporting overall quality of life for seniors.
