Role Overview: A full-time Inpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides compassionate patient care, participates in assessment, planning, and evaluation, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams. The role involves direct care such as treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures, ensuring safety and patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to patient assessments and care plans within scope of practice.
- Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
- Reinforce patient and family education, discharge planning, and ongoing support.
- Evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and modify plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with physicians and staff to meet patient needs and participate in evidence-based practice decisions.
- Mentor and precept new staff and students, supporting professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing.
- Interest in Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular surgical care is preferred.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a clinical environment with adherence to policies and procedures.
