Role Overview: The Inpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides essential clinical support in a healthcare setting, assisting providers, supporting patient care, and ensuring efficient clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support diagnosis and treatment by assisting providers and facilitating patient flow.
- Complete patient databases, including vital signs, medical history, and medication reviews.
- Provide nursing care, assist with procedures, and document assessments and treatments.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Communicate with patients, reinforce education, and promote treatment adherence.
- Maintain inventory levels, restock supplies, and verify expiration dates.
- Prepare examination rooms, ensure asepsis, and inspect equipment.
- Assist with orientation of new staff and support front-office duties as needed.
