We are seeking a Neurology Advanced Practice Provider for a locum tenens position in Rockford, IL, with an immediate start and ongoing assignment.
The role offers flexible full-time or part-time shifts (12-hour, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday–Friday) with no call responsibilities. Compensation is competitive, with high hourly rates, and all travel, lodging, malpractice, and transportation expenses are covered.
Typical duties include inpatient neurology rounding, new patient consults, managing stroke alerts, responding to acute ED cases, pre- and post-op care for endovascular procedures, and clinic in-basket management. Collaboration with neurologists and hospital teams is essential.
Requirements:
- Comfort supporting interventional physicians with stroke and general neurology experience
- Active Illinois license
- Certification as an Acute Care NP or PA
- 1–2 years of neurology experience
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
