Role Overview: This position provides patient care under the supervision of physicians or registered nurses in a clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic patient care duties including obtaining vital signs, weighing patients, and collecting specimens such as blood samples (phlebotomy).
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, medication refills, and patient flow management.
- Answer phone calls, record messages, and help schedule tests, appointments, and manage results.
- Administer medications and immunizations as ordered, and maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and equipment.
- Perform clerical tasks like chart retrieval, filing, and completing forms.
- Attend training sessions and perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate from an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
- Current LVN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
