Role Overview:
This position provides patient care under the supervision of physicians or registered nurses, following established standards and practices. Responsibilities include performing basic patient care tasks such as obtaining vital signs, weighing patients, collecting specimens (including phlebotomy), assisting with examinations and procedures, and supporting patient flow within the clinic.
Key Duties:
- Answering phones, recording messages, and assisting providers with patient calls
- Scheduling tests, managing results, and pre-certifications
- Documenting patient information accurately
- Assisting with medication refills and administering medications/immunizations as ordered
- Cleaning, restocking exam rooms, and maintaining equipment according to policies
- Performing routine clerical tasks like chart retrieval and filing
- Attending training sessions and performing assigned duties
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate from an accredited practical or vocational nursing program
- LVN license in the state of employment or a compact license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
