This role involves utilizing the nursing process to provide patient care under supervision or guidance of a licensed professional, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality.
Key responsibilities include coordinating patient care with other departments, performing thorough assessments, and managing medical-surgical telemetry patients, particularly those undergoing GI, Urology, and ENT surgeries.
Qualifications required:
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license and certification, including LPN-IV certification from the Missouri State Board of Nursing
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or completed within 30 days of hire
- Experience can be recent graduate or experienced LPN
Skills include:
- Performing head-to-toe assessments, telemetry monitoring, IV insertions, NG tubes, wound care, chest tubes, trach and ostomy care, and managing drains
- Adapting to a fast-paced surgical telemetry environment
