Licensed Practical Nurse or Graduate LPN Surgical 3B

This role involves utilizing the nursing process to provide patient care under supervision or guidance of a licensed professional, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality.


Key responsibilities include coordinating patient care with other departments, performing thorough assessments, and managing medical-surgical telemetry patients, particularly those undergoing GI, Urology, and ENT surgeries.


Qualifications required:

  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
  • Current LPN license and certification, including LPN-IV certification from the Missouri State Board of Nursing
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or completed within 30 days of hire
  • Experience can be recent graduate or experienced LPN

Skills include:

  • Performing head-to-toe assessments, telemetry monitoring, IV insertions, NG tubes, wound care, chest tubes, trach and ostomy care, and managing drains
  • Adapting to a fast-paced surgical telemetry environment
