Role: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in directing nursing services for the unit/hall in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act and under RN supervision.
- Delegate duties to professional and non-professional nursing staff, monitoring work performance.
- Observe patients for symptoms or reactions, including physical and mental condition changes.
- Assist with notifying physicians of emergencies and patient deaths.
- Implement physician orders and perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma and graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Valid license from the Board of Nursing with proof of renewal every other year.
- Willingness to serve as charge nurse and work during emergencies for coverage.
- Ability to deliver quality geriatric nursing care, follow doctor’s orders, and demonstrate a genuine interest in geriatric care.
- CPR certification renewed annually.
- Participation in in-service training and staff meetings.
