The Licensed Mental Health Professional will join an innovative Safe Options Support (SOS) team providing comprehensive care to homeless individuals in the community.
Work involves street outreach, coordinating needs during housing transition, enhancing daily living skills, offering supportive counseling, and advocating against discrimination and healthcare inequities. The team follows a person-centered, harm reduction approach, supporting participants for months post-housing to promote stability and independence. This field-based role requires flexible hours, on-call availability, and travel across Chenango, Broome, and Otsego counties. Qualifications include a master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, nursing, or psychology; MSW candidates with licensure plans are considered.
