The Licensed Mental Health Professional will be a key member of an innovative SOS team providing comprehensive care to homeless and subway-dwelling individuals in the community.
Work involves street outreach, coordinating needs pre- and post-housing, supporting daily skills, offering counseling, and advocating against discrimination and healthcare inequities. Utilizes person-centered, harm reduction, and non-coercive approaches, with ongoing support after housing placement to promote stability and independence. Position requires fieldwork, flexible hours, periodic on-call duties, and travel across Chenango, Broome, and Otsego counties. Requires a licensed master’s degree in social work, counseling, nursing, or psychology; MSW candidates working towards licensure are eligible. Full-time role with benefits, compensation $32-$34/hr, based in Norwich, NY, with relocation required before starting.
