Licensed Mental Health Professional

The Licensed Mental Health Professional will be integral to an innovative Safe Options Support (SOS) team, providing comprehensive care to homeless individuals living on the streets or subways.

Work involves community outreach, street engagement, and coordinating needs during and after housing transitions.

Provide supportive counseling, enhance daily living skills, and advocate against discrimination and healthcare disparities.

Follow a person-centered, harm reduction approach with flexibility and non-coercion.

Support participants for months post-housing to ensure stability and independence.

This field-based role requires periodic on-call coverage and flexible hours, with travel across three counties.

Minimum qualifications include a licensed master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, nursing, or psychology; MSW candidates with licensure plans are also considered.
