Licensed Mental Health Professional

The Licensed Mental Health Professional will be a key member of an innovative Safe Options Support (SOS) team, providing comprehensive care to street homeless or subway-dwelling individuals in the community.

  • The multi-disciplinary team includes a Team leader, Licensed Clinicians, Care Managers, and Peer Specialists, utilizing the evidence-based Critical Time Intervention model.
  • The role involves street outreach, coordinating needs before and after housing, supporting daily living skills, providing counseling, and advocating against discrimination and healthcare inequities.
  • Core principles include member choice, harm reduction, non-coercion, flexibility, and person-centered care.
  • Post-housing, the team continues to support participants for stability and independence.
  • Position requires fieldwork, periodic on-call hours, and flexible scheduling, with travel across three counties.
  • Minimum qualifications include a licensed master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, nursing, or psychology; MSW candidates with plans for licensure are also considered.
  • This full-time role offers benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and more, with a pay range of $32-$34/hour.
  • Relocation to Norwich, NY, is required before starting work.
