-Conducting Substance Use Assessments and Clinical Evaluations,
-Understanding Substance Use Disorders,
-Referral Processes,
-Case Management,
-Group Dynamics,
-Residential/Outpatient Treatment,
-Aftercare Resources,
-Relapse Prevention,
-Co-Occurring Disorders,
-Professional Ethics, and
-Diagnostic Criteria.
Skills include evaluations, placements, maintaining clinical records, developing treatment plans, counseling (individual, family, group), diagnosis, and referrals.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred, with 1-year addiction counseling experience preferred.
