Labor and Delivery Clinical Nurse Coordinator will lead and support high-quality, patient-centered maternity care by overseeing daily clinical operations in the L&D unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide RNs and support staff in implementing evidence-based practices and maintaining safe delivery standards
- Provide and oversee triage and intrapartum care, including fetal monitoring
- Collaborate with OB providers and anesthesia to coordinate obstetric care
- Educate patients and families on care, procedures, and expectations
- Rapidly respond to obstetric emergencies and support clinical escalation as needed
- Support staff onboarding, competency development, and ongoing training
- Drive quality initiatives and strengthen interdisciplinary teamwork in a fast-paced, technology-enabled environment
Qualifications / Skills
- Registered Nurse with strong L&D clinical expertise and leadership capability
- Proficiency in fetal monitoring and intrapartum assessment
- Ability to coordinate care with physicians, anesthesia, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent patient and family communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and emergency response skills in high-acuity settings
