Interventional Radiology Technologist

This Radiology Technologist role involves performing high-quality Interventional Radiology imaging using advanced technical skills while adhering to healthcare standards and regulations. The shift comprises four 10-hour days with on-call responsibilities.

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiology program and preferably have one year of experience in radiology or imaging modalities.
  • Required certifications include ARRT in Radiography within 3 months of hire, with advanced registry in Vascular or Cardiovascular Interventional preferred, and a Texas MRT certification within 6 months.
  • Must hold current BLS CPR certification from recognized providers.
  • Skills include knowledge of interventional procedures, computer applications, sterile techniques, specialized equipment, patient assessment, contrast administration, emergency care, and strong communication and time management skills.
  • Responsibilities encompass conducting neurological and vascular exams, instructing patients, assisting providers during procedures, preparing rooms and equipment, administering contrast, processing images, maintaining equipment, leading staff and training, ensuring documentation accuracy, maintaining confidentiality, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Engages in professional growth through continuing education and maintains certifications to ensure optimal patient care and departmental performance.
