Job Summary: Performs diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures under the supervision of a radiologist or physician, utilizing independent judgment and technical skills to ensure high-quality imaging.
Responsibilities:
- Execute procedures proficiently, maintaining quality standards.
- Assist radiologists with invasive procedures using sterile techniques.
- Prepare and administer contrast materials within scope of practice and approved protocols.
- Ensure proper room setup, sanitation, and supply management.
- Follow radiation safety protocols and implement emergency procedures when necessary.
- Perform computer functions related to the department, accurately record data, and conduct quality control tasks.
- Stay updated on organizational changes and participate in call rotations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
- At least one year of experience in interventional radiology, cath lab, or diagnostic radiology, or clinical rotations during education.
- Registered in primary modality (preferred), ARRT registered, SCRQSA certification (South Carolina), and BLS certification.
- Proficient in operation of imaging equipment and computers, patient treatment across all ages, data entry, and basic mathematics.
- Knowledge of Epic Radiant is a plus.
