The Interventional Radiologic Technologist I assists in diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic radiologic and ultrasonic procedures, primarily in surgical environments requiring sterile fields.
Responsibilities include patient preparation, proper documentation of contrast use and charges, maintaining technical competency across vascular, spinal, neurological, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and extremity imaging, and ensuring a safe, clean work environment.
The role involves adhering to confidentiality, infection control, radiation safety, and safety protocols, including wearing protective gear and monitoring devices.
Participation in patient safety initiatives, on-call duties, overtime, and training new staff or residents is expected.
Must maintain required licensure and certifications, have a high school diploma (advanced degrees preferred), and possess relevant experience, especially in interventional radiology or related fields.
Knowledge of inventory systems, language skills, and commitment to a Culture of Safety are essential.
