Inpatient Surgical Nurse – Night Shift

Role Overview:

Provides direct patient care in an inpatient surgical setting, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, home care, and medication administration.
  • Ensures patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance while participating in professional development.
  • Develops and documents individualized care plans with clear goals, collaborating with the healthcare team and family.
  • Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and barriers.
  • Maintains safety awareness as this is a safety-sensitive position.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Licenses & Certifications: Active RN license.
  • Experience: No prior experience required; 2 years of experience preferred for advanced roles.
  • Preferred Skills: Med/Surg experience, BSN degree, and leadership experience are advantageous.
