Inpatient Surgical Nurse – Night Shift

Role Overview:

This position involves providing direct patient care in an inpatient surgical unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, and promoting safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Collaboration with the healthcare team to develop and communicate individualized care plans is essential, along with assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and barriers.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver holistic nursing care and educate patients and families.
  • Participate in safety, quality, and compliance activities.
  • Develop and document personalized care plans in collaboration with team members and patients.
  • Assess patient needs holistically, considering emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific factors.
  • Maintain communication across care continuum and ensure safety-sensitive work practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Nursing diploma or associate’s degree; RN license required.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
  • Experience in medical-surgical settings is advantageous.
