Role: Occupational Therapist responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing rehabilitative programs to improve patients’ daily activities, mobility, cognition, strength, coordination, and range of motion. Services are provided across the continuum, emphasizing quality, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and adjust treatment plans collaboratively with patients and families, providing education, discharge instructions, and community resource referrals.
- Conduct patient assessments, establish treatment goals, and develop discharge plans in partnership with physicians and families.
- Maintain thorough documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge information per departmental protocols.
- Adhere to ethical standards, maintain confidentiality, and ensure effective communication within the team.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development activities; ensure compliance with organizational policies.
- Promote excellent customer service using principles like AIDET, fostering a positive environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Licensure as an Occupational Therapist and BLS certification required at hire.
- Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork skills, and basic computer literacy.
