Role Overview
This position involves providing direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, and participation in safety and quality initiatives. The nurse will develop and document personalized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients, addressing physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs. The position requires working in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and safety at all times.
Responsibilities
- Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on treatment and post-care needs.
- Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory compliance activities, and pursue professional development.
- Develop, implement, and communicate individualized care plans with clear goals in partnership with the interdisciplinary team, patients, and caregivers.
- Assess and evaluate patients’ physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs, respecting their values and barriers to involvement in care.
Qualifications & Skills
- Educational requirements: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Licensure: Valid RN license.
- Experience: No experience required; 2+ years preferred.
- Skills: Critical nursing skills, strong communication, teamwork, and safety awareness.
