Inpatient Psych Nurse Manager

Role Overview: This position involves coordinating patient care, managing personnel, maintaining equipment, and overseeing departmental operations in a psychiatric setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and professional development.
  • Develop and adhere to staffing, budget, and operational goals, including responding to business needs.
  • Oversee patient care planning, documentation, and implementation based on assessments and medical treatments.
  • Coordinate staff scheduling, overtime, payroll, and communication efforts.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed to maintain a secure environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • 2+ years RN experience; 5-10 years preferred.
  • RN license required; supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness and professionalism.

Additional Details: The role offers a sign-on bonus up to $15,000, full benefits, and involves evening shifts with some management calls. The department includes inpatient psychiatric units focused on various patient needs, emphasizing high-quality, patient-centered care within a safety-focused environment.
