Role Overview:
Seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician III to support inpatient medication therapy in a collaborative healthcare setting. The role involves preparing medications, including sterile and non-sterile compounding, managing inventory, and operating electronic systems such as Pyxis and automated pumps. The technician serves as a resource for complex issues, trains staff, and maintains quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure quality standards and proper documentation are maintained
- Assist in medication preparation, dispensing, and compounding
- Support inventory management and workflow processes
- Train staff and optimize electronic/automated system usage
- Pursue proficiency in complex sterile preparations and other advanced skills
- Handle multiple technician responsibilities across pharmacy areas
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-5 years experience; 5-10 years preferred
- State Board Pharmacy Registration and Pharmacy Tech Certification
- Detail-oriented, patient-focused, and collaborative
