Role Overview: This position involves providing direct patient care in a 6-bed ICU with a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, focusing on acute cardiac and critical care patients.
Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care according to standards. Promote patient and family-centered care, offering education on managing illnesses, medications, and post-discharge needs. Develop and document individualized care plans, ensuring effective communication across care teams. Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, and engage in ongoing professional development. Use critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs while respecting patient preferences and cultural factors. Qualifications & Skills: RN license with a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred. Experience in nursing; 2+ years of critical care experience is preferred. Ability to work safely in a high-alert environment. Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills. Additional Details: The role offers full-time and part-time options, with night shift differentials. Support includes 24/7 house supervision and provider availability.
