Role Overview
Provides direct patient care in a 6-bed ICU with a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio. Ideal for nurses with 1-2 years of Med/Surg experience seeking to develop critical care skills. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, promoting patient and family-centered care, and ensuring safety and quality compliance. Develops and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, considering patient preferences, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific needs. The role involves educating patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medications. The position requires proficiency in critical nursing skills and adherence to safety standards.
Qualifications include:
- Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree in Nursing
- RN licensure
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and 2 years of experience
