ICU Clinical Nurse PRN

Role Overview:

This position involves providing direct patient care in the ICU, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, and participation in safety, quality, and regulatory activities. Nurses develop and document individualized care plans, collaborate with the healthcare team, and utilize critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values and barriers.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote a healing environment through patient and family education.
  • Ensure safety and quality compliance, engaging in professional development.
  • Develop and communicate care plans with clear goals, coordinating across care teams.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred).
  • RN license required; 2+ years ICU experience preferred.
  • Experience in advanced cardiac procedures and critical care is advantageous.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and collaborative skills.
