Position Overview
The Speech Therapist – PRN provides high-quality patient care by conducting assessments, administering prescribed treatments and therapies, developing care plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include maintaining documentation, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, coordinating services such as discharge planning, and communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff. The role also involves serving as a clinical resource and providing evaluations on patient needs, goals, and progress.
Qualifications and Skills
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program
- Unrestricted SLP license in the practice state
- Current CPR certification
- Proficiency in clinical assessments and documentation
- Preferably, one year of recent experience in an acute care setting
