Role Overview:
Our High-Risk Cardiology unit provides critical care for patients with complex cardiac conditions, including CAD, HTN, arrhythmias, heart failure, and device malfunctions. The team collaborates closely with Hospitalist Attendings and cardiology specialists to deliver comprehensive nursing care in a 32-bed setting. Nurses obtain certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and extensive EKG training to support patient needs.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards.Educate patients and families on disease management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.Participate in promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, alongside ongoing professional development.Develop individualized care plans with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring effective communication across care continuum.Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural considerations.Work in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and safe practices at all times.Qualifications & Skills:Minimum: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree, RN license, no prior experience required.Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient-centered care skills are essential.Additional Information:Benefits include comprehensive health coverage, retirement plans, tuition assistance, flexible scheduling, and more.
