Role Overview:
This position is designed for all student nurses, providing direct patient care activities such as assessment, diagnosis, care planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Educating patients and families on managing illness, post-treatment care, and medication use.
- Applying critical thinking to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
- Monitoring patient responses and adjusting care plans accordingly.
- Participating in activities promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Engaging in professional development and maintaining safety awareness, as this is a safety-sensitive role.
Qualifications:
- Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree in Nursing.
- Must obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation to remain employed in Missouri.
