Geriatric Psychiatry RN (Full-Time, Rotating)

Role Overview:

Provides direct patient care for adults aged 50+ in a supportive behavioral health setting, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
  • Ensures patient safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance while engaging in professional development.
  • Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans with clear goals, collaborating with the interprofessional team, patients, and families.
  • Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • RN license required; Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree is minimum; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • No prior experience necessary; 2+ years of nursing experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills essential.
  • Ability to work safely and maintain alertness is mandatory.
