Geriatric Psychiatry RN (Full-Time) (Rotating)

Role Overview:

Provides direct patient care for adults aged 50+ in a supportive behavioral health setting, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards.

Responsibilities include promoting patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management and medication use, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, and developing individualized care plans in collaboration with the care team and patients.

Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural considerations. Maintains a safety-sensitive role requiring constant alertness.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • RN license required; Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree minimum, Bachelor’s preferred
  • No prior experience necessary; 2+ years preferred for advanced roles
  • Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
