Role Overview:
Provides direct nursing care to adults aged 50+ in a supportive behavioral health setting, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, care planning, implementation, and evaluation within established standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fosters patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Participates in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, and engages in professional development.
- Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across care continuum.
- Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, cultural, spiritual, and emotional factors.
- Works in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and safety at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
- Current RN licensure required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- No prior experience required; 2 years of experience preferred for advanced roles.
- Strong assessment, communication, and collaborative skills.
