Geriatric Psychiatry Nurse (Full-Time, Rotating)

Role Overview:

Provides direct patient care for adults aged 50+ in a supportive behavioral health environment, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster patient and family-centered care, including education on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs.
  • Participate in activities promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in professional development.
  • Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families, ensuring effective communication.
  • Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural considerations.
  • Work in a safety-sensitive role, maintaining constant alertness and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Licenses: Valid RN license required.
  • Experience: No experience required; 2 years of experience preferred.
  • Skills: Compassionate communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and cultural competence.

Additional Details:
