Responsibilities include managing medically complex patients, facilitating return-to-work and functional recovery, and providing both surgical and non-surgical orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal care. Collaboration with medical and therapy providers and active case management are key components.
Qualifications include licensure in the state of practice, graduate from an accredited MD or DO program, unrestricted DEA license, board certification or eligibility in General Surgery, and malpractice insurance coverage. Preferred experience with work-related injuries.
