Full-time General Anesthesiologist position in Virginia Beach, VA, reporting to Dr. James Oleksa, with supervisory responsibilities.
Provides anesthesia at multiple surgical centers, conducting patient evaluations, developing anesthesia plans, and working with certified registered nurse anesthetists to ensure safe outcomes.
Responsibilities include administering and monitoring general and regional anesthesia, managing post-operative care, performing procedures like venous/arterial punctures, airway management, and supervising staff.
Requires MD or DO from an accredited school, BC/BE in anesthesiology, VA license, and 3+ years of high-acuity experience.
Skills needed include excellent communication, patient safety focus, teamwork, and organizational abilities.
Work involves frequent patient and staff contact, with some stressful situations; work environment is office-based.
