Role: The physical therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, and prevent deformities in patients with disease or injury.
Responsibilities:
Develops and revises treatment plans in collaboration with patients and families, providing education and discharge instructions. Establishes and evaluates treatment programs alongside physicians, setting realistic goals and discharge plans. Documents evaluations and treatments according to departmental standards, ensuring compliance and accuracy. Acts as a resource for staff, families, and physicians regarding rehabilitation services and equipment. Maintains professional standards, confidentiality, and adheres to ethical practices. Communicates effectively, participates in team activities, and contributes to a positive environment. Engages in ongoing professional development, completes required training, and maintains licensure. Follows safety protocols, infection control, and organizational policies. Qualifications: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Current Physical Therapist license and Basic Life Support certification. Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork skills, and basic computer literacy.
