Role: Director of Nursing (RN)
Summary: Oversees and manages the Nursing Department in a skilled nursing facility, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards to provide high-quality resident care. Responsible for organizing, developing, and directing nursing operations, including staff supervision, education, infection prevention, and wound management.
- Supervise and evaluate nursing staff performance, ensuring adherence to safety and practice standards.
- Coordinate infection control and wound care programs.
- Assist in developing individualized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide staff training, orientation, and ongoing education.
- Handle emergency situations and assume charge nurse duties as needed.
- Experience in management within long-term care, skilled nursing, or sub-acute rehabilitation settings preferred.
- Must be a graduate of an approved nursing school with a current NYS RN license; BSN or five years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
