Seeking a Flight Surgeon in Selfridge, MI to provide medical services for Coast Guard personnel.
Responsibilities include ensuring fitness for duty, diagnosing and treating illnesses, making referrals, managing chronic conditions, preventing disease, promoting health, and advising on hygiene and safety.
Additional duties encompass ordering diagnostics, notifying patients of test results within 48 hours, prescribing medications, reporting communicable diseases, performing physical exams, documenting health records, and assessing patients’ ability to work.
Qualifications required: Medical degree from an accredited U.S. school, at least 24 months recent aerospace medicine experience, active medical licenses, certifications in Aerospace Medicine, Family Practice, Internal or Emergency Medicine, BLS, ACLS, and DEA registration.
Applicants must submit credentials including CV, certifications, references, and proof of practice in Flight Surgery within the last 5 years. The role involves performing full physician duties on-site, following all regulations and policies.
