Family Practice Obstetrics Provider

The Family Practice with Obstetrics (FPOB) Physician provides comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages, with a focus on prenatal, perinatal, and postpartum care.

  • Deliver full-spectrum family medicine services, including wellness exams, chronic disease management, urgent care, and minor procedures.
  • Perform obstetric care such as prenatal visits, labor management, vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections (if credentialed), and postpartum follow-up.
  • Provide pediatric care and newborn services within a family-centered approach.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in quality improvement, care team huddles, and PCMH activities.
  • Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and prenatal/postpartum health.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR and participate in community outreach, call rotations, and hospital call schedule for labor and deliveries.

  • Qualifications include an MD or DO degree, completed family medicine residency, additional obstetric training or competency, current unrestricted license, board eligibility or certification in Family Medicine, and relevant certifications such as BLS, ACLS, NRP, and ALSO preferred.
