Family Practice Obstetrics Provider

The Family Practice with Obstetrics (FPOB) Physician provides comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, with a focus on prenatal, perinatal, and postpartum services.

  • Deliver full-spectrum family medicine including wellness exams, chronic disease management, urgent care, and minor procedures.
  • Provide obstetric care such as prenatal visits, labor management, vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections (if credentialed), and postpartum follow-up.
  • Care for newborns and offer pediatric services as part of family-centered care.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in quality improvement and patient-centered initiatives.
  • Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR and participate in community outreach, call rotations, and after-hours coverage, including hospital labor and delivery call schedules.
  • Qualifications include an MD or DO, completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency, additional obstetric training, a valid medical license, and board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and ALSO are preferred.
