Family Practice Obstetrics Provider

The Family Practice with Obstetrics (FPOB) Physician provides comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, emphasizing prenatal, perinatal, and postpartum services.

  • Deliver full-spectrum family medicine, including wellness exams, chronic disease management, urgent care, and minor procedures.
  • Perform obstetric care such as prenatal visits, labor management, deliveries (vaginal and C-section if credentialed), and postpartum follow-up.
  • Provide pediatric and newborn care as part of family-centered services.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in quality improvement and patient-centered initiatives.
  • Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
  • Participate in community outreach, call rotations, and after-hours hospital coverage, including labor and delivery call schedule.

  • Qualifications include MD or DO degree, completion of family medicine residency, additional obstetric training, an active medical license, board certification or eligibility, and relevant certifications such as BLS, ACLS, NRP, and ALSO preferred.
