The Family Nurse Practitioner provides medical consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and patient care under supervision.
Responsibilities include examining patients, recording histories, ordering and interpreting tests, performing procedures, developing care plans, prescribing medications, and providing health education. Supervises nurse practitioner students and staff, participates in meetings and quality assurance, and maintains accurate, timely medical records. Ensures compliance with regulatory standards, maintains licensure, and adheres to ethical practices. Requires strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills, with flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications include a valid California license, NP certification, DEA, BLS, and preferably 2+ years clinical experience. Physical and environmental demands involve exposure to biological hazards, light to moderate lifting, and working in diverse settings. Schedule is primarily Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays, and travel between clinics may be required. Compensation ranges from $65.00 to $80.00 per hour, full-time in person.
