Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in an emergency department setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on managing illness or injury, and promoting safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.
- Educate patients and families on post-treatment care, medication administration, and managing health conditions.
- Participate in activities that enhance patient safety and quality standards, and engage in professional development.
- Work in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and safe practices at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Active RN license required.
- Experience in emergency or acute care preferred, with at least 2 years of experience for advanced roles.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
