Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care in an emergency department, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Key responsibilities include promoting patient and family-centered care, educating patients on managing their health, and ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The role involves developing and documenting individualized care plans, collaborating with an interprofessional team, and assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs while respecting patient values and barriers. Qualifications include a Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree, RN licensure, and preferably a Bachelor’s degree with two years of experience. Prior supervisor experience is not required.
