Role Overview:
Provides comprehensive nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient responses to health issues, collaborating with the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment: Performs multi-system assessments, identifies deviations, and conducts discharge evaluations.
- Planning: Develops individualized care and teaching plans, coordinates care and discharge with relevant departments, and delegates tasks appropriately.
- Implementation: Initiates protocol-based measures, administers medications accurately, documents care in EMR, and performs procedures correctly, including emergency interventions.
- Evaluation: Monitors patient responses, reviews assessment methods, and participates in quality assurance activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 9 months RN experience, with at least 1 year in emergency care or completion of a related internship program.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Licenses and certifications including RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and Pediatric Life Support within specified timeframes.
- Computer skills and additional emergency nursing certifications preferred.
Preferred Attributes:
- Previous healthcare experience and a bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field.
- Certifications such as CEN and TNCC, ability to interpret cardiac rhythms, and strong communication skills.
