Emergency Department RN (Part-Time, Night Shift)

Role Overview:


Provides comprehensive nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient responses to health issues, collaborating with the healthcare team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment: Performs multi-system assessments, identifies deviations, and conducts discharge evaluations.
  • Planning: Develops individualized care and teaching plans, coordinates care and discharge with relevant departments, and delegates tasks appropriately.
  • Implementation: Initiates protocol-based measures, administers medications accurately, documents care in EMR, and performs procedures correctly, including emergency interventions.
  • Evaluation: Monitors patient responses, reviews assessment methods, and participates in quality assurance activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of 9 months RN experience, with at least 1 year in emergency care or completion of a related internship program.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Licenses and certifications including RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and Pediatric Life Support within specified timeframes.
  • Computer skills and additional emergency nursing certifications preferred.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Previous healthcare experience and a bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field.
  • Certifications such as CEN and TNCC, ability to interpret cardiac rhythms, and strong communication skills.
