Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care as a Registered Nurse in a fast-paced emergency department, collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless treatment and support for patients and families. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans, promote patient safety, and educate patients on managing their health. The role emphasizes professional development, leadership, and teamwork within standards of nursing care.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient and family-centered care in a healing environment
- Educate patients on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication use
- Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities
- Develop and communicate personalized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values and barriers
- Support a safe environment, maintaining alertness and adherence to safety protocols
Qualifications & Skills:
- Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred)
- RN license required; 2+ years of experience preferred
- Experience with ER or EMT roles advantageous
- Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness and professionalism
