Role Overview:
This position involves performing diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams under physician supervision to identify abnormalities and aid patient diagnosis. It is ideal for recent graduates or those new to the field with minimal experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound exams following departmental protocols, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and quality outcomes.
- Coordinate exam scheduling with medical staff, patients, and caregivers.
- Educate patients and families about procedures and document results accurately.
- Maintain equipment, work area, and supplies, supporting team and quality initiatives.
- Mentor colleagues and students on equipment use and techniques.
- Participate in ongoing education to develop skills and knowledge.
Qualifications & Skills:
- ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficiency in sonography, digital tools, clinical care, and patient communication.
- Strong time management, risk management, and professional development skills.
Additional Details:
- Full-time role with four 9-hour shifts, including call responsibilities.
- Location: Lutheran Hospital, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
- Hourly rate ranges from $39.16 to $60.42 based on experience.
- Physical demands include patient handling, equipment operation, and mobility requirements.
