Role: Radiologic Technologist responsible for performing diagnostic, therapeutic, and research radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, and analyzing data for diagnostic purposes.
Responsibilities: Ensure correct patient identification and preparation, utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and adhere to safety principles like ALARA. Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, evaluate image quality, and assist licensed practitioners with procedures. Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and perform procedures outside the radiology department when needed. Maintain documentation, ensure proper data storage, and comply with relevant laws and policies.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology. New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registration within 6 months. Applicants hired after a specified date must progress to level 2 within 24 months. Ability to perform independently or assist in procedures, attention to detail, and commitment to patient safety are essential.
