Diagnostic Radiology Technologist – Per Diem

Role Overview: Radiologic Technologists perform diagnostic, therapeutic, or research-related ionizing radiation procedures. They independently conduct radiographic and fluoroscopic exams, ensuring accurate data acquisition for interpretation by licensed practitioners.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain correct orders, properly identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to ensure patient safety.
  • Prepare and administer medications via vascular access under licensed practitioner supervision.
  • Evaluate images for quality, proper positioning, and verify data storage or transfer.
  • Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
  • Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures, including outside the radiology department.

Qualifications & Skills: Graduates of Specialty Training in Radiologic Technology; ARRT-R registry required within six months. Preference for a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Ability to perform procedures safely and effectively, with strong attention to detail and patient care.
